Adriana N. Schmidt, M.D., FAAD
Dr. Schmidt is a board-certified dermatologist, providing comprehensive care to her patients related to skin cancer, acne, rashes, hair loss, and cosmetic treatments. A native of Los Angeles, she attended Marlborough High School and received her undergraduate degree at Brown University, where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa and Magna Cum Laude. She attended medical school and was a resident at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN.Dr. Schmidt is the section head of Dermatology at St John's Hospital and is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, The American Medical Association, the Los Angeles County Medical Association, and the North American Hair Research Foundation. She won a Women's Dermatologic Society Mentorship Award to do a clinical and research fellowship at the University of Bologna, Italy in 2009. Jason R. Litak, M.D., FAAD, FACMS
Dr. Jason Litak was born and raised in Southern California. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of California, San Diego, and earned his medical degree from the prestigious University of California, Los Angeles. He was chief resident in dermatology at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. After residency he went on to complete a rigorous fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery, accredited by the American College of Mohs Surgery (only 70 such fellowships worldwide). With his advanced surgical training, Dr. Litak performs all of the Mohs procedures and many of the skin excisions for our group. In addition, Dr. Litak practices comprehensive general dermatology and skin cancer detection using dermoscopy. He attends several continuing medical education conferences per year and stays current with the dermatology literature. He prides himself on focusing on real medical dermatology and has avoided the distraction of cosmetic dermatology. His passion is for providing compassionate evidence-based medical care for his patients.
Lauren L. Reager, M.D., FAAD
A native of Santa Monica, Dr. Lauren Reager received his medical degree from the University of California, Los Angeles. He completed his internship in Internal medicine and residency training in Dermatology at the same institution. Dr. Reager established the Santa Monica Dermatology group in 1968. He is certified by the American Board of Dermatology and completed the voluntary recertification examination in 2009. Additionally, Dr. Reager is certified in Dermatopathology by the American Boards of Dermatology and Pathology. He maintains memberships in the American Academy of Dermatology, Pacific Dermatologic Association, American Medical Association, California Medical Association and the Los Angeles County Medical Association. He has served as Chief of Dermatology at UCLA/Santa Monica Hospital and St. John's Hospital. Dr. Reager is currently an adjunct faculty member at John Wayne Cancer Center at St. John's Medical Center in Santa Monica, CA.
Paul L. Smith, M.D., FAAD
Dr. Paul Smith received both his undergraduate and medical training at UCLA. He also completed his residency at a UCLA affiliated program. He is board certified in Dermatology and Dermatopathology and recently completed a voluntary recertification in 2009. He is in good standing with the American Academy of Dermatology. Dr. Smith was born and raised in Southern California and has practiced locally for over 30 years. Dr. Smith is a member of the staff of Santa Monica-UCLA hospital. He has a long-standing history of working with both Veteran's groups and career lifeguards.
Gregory J. Colman, M.D., FAAD
Dr. Colman received his medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine and completed his internship and residency in Dermatology at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. He has attended many post-graduate seminars and preceptorships in the use of lasers in Dermatology. He is board-certified by the American Board of Dermatology and successfully completed a voluntary re-certification by the Dermatology Board in 2009. Dr. Colman is also board-certified in Dermatopathology. He is a member in good standing of the American Academy of Dermatology, the Pacific Dermatologic Association, the International Society of Dermatopathology, the American Medical Association, the California Medical Association, and the Los Angeles County Medical Association. Dr. Colman is a member of the staffs of both St. John's Hospital and Santa Monica-UCLA Hospital, and served for several years as Chief of Dermatology at St. John's. He has been in private practice in Dermatology in Santa Monica at the same location for the past 32 years.
Tereasa North-Sweeney, R.N.
Tereasa North-Sweeney is a Registered Nurse who completed her medical training at Ameritch College in Draper, Utah. Tereasa joined Santa Monica Dermatology Group after gaining substantial experience in aesthetics while working for three years at a prominent medical spa where she performed over 5000 aesthetic procedures. She is particularly skilled in cosmetic injectables including Botox, dermal fillers, and Kybella. Tereasa has a steady hand and a meticulous injection technique which allows her to provide treatments which are virtually painless. She also performs chemical peels, microneedling, microdermabrasion, and IPL laser. Tereasa has a passion for helping patients achieve their aesthetic goals and has a very artistic approach in providing beautiful, natural results.
